Mary Beth Warner
Mary Beth Warner is a writer and producer whose scripts have been recognized by numerous writing contests and awards, including the Athena Film Festival Writers Lab, the American Zoetrope Screenplay Competition, The Writers Lab, Stowe Story Labs, the Evolution! Mallorca Film Festival, and more. Her stories all focus on protagonists who have been sidelined in society for factors outside of their control. She hopes her work will create a conversation that will lead to greater understanding among people of different backgrounds.
A former journalist, Mary Beth holds a master’s degree from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism. She received a Fulbright fellowship for young American journalists in Germany and the John J. McCloy fellowship for American journalists. She lived in Berlin for six years, and has written for Der Spiegel, The Washington Post, Time, National Journal, The Philadelphia Inquirer, and numerous other American and German publications.
Mary Beth is based in Washington, D.C. and New York.
